Brain Reload may sound like a science fiction movie, but it’s actually a holistic formula that was created to increase cognitive function. While in the past most consumers were looking for formulas that could allow them to boost weight loss, have better sex or calm down, boosting brain health has become more popular than ever before. This is especially true these days when keeping the cognitive edge may make a difference in our job performance, as well as allowing us to better manage our day to day lives.
Many of us may not think we have to get started dealing with our cognitive health until we see some kind of sign, but by the time we do see such a sign, we have often progressed further into cognitive decline than we may think. This is why many individuals are getting started early. In fact, college students report using supplements to assist them with studying better and remembering more effectively. Brain Reload is advertised as being a smart vitamin for your brain, which supposedly increases learning, reasoning, focus, alertness and memory. While many of us wish to find a product that is effective, we often have very little idea what the ingredients in these formulas do. Right off the bat, we were glad to see that Brain Reload contains Phosphatidylserine, an element that has been shown in a wide range of studies to be able to assist the brain in better absorbing nutrients, as well as allowing the nerve cells to work better. It’s an element many experts suggest looking for in these formulas. On the other hand, Acetyl L Carnitine, a revved up version of L Carnitine, is most often found in muscle building and weight loss formulas. Yet some developers have started including it in brain strengtheners because researchers are studying it to see if it may reduce symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and ease brain injury. But the results of these studies are not known as of yet, so its abilities are merely supposition at this point.
DMAE and Choline are both used in Brain Reload’s formula for the same reason: to increase the presence of Choline, which is a precursor for Acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter. However, using Choline in its regular form may be difficult because it does not always make it through the brain blood barrier, which is why some developers use extracts like Alpha GPC, which has been proven to aiding the body in producing more Choline on its own. DMEA is used for this purpose as well, but it is converted directly into Choline in the liver, and it has a harder time getting into brain tissue. DMAE may also have side effects like insomnia, headaches, tense muscles, nervousness, agitation and neck and shoulder pain.

We were glad to see that the Brain Reload website fully outlines its formula and discusses the abilities of the elements used in it. But most of us don’t really have the time that it takes to fully review this site. In reviews of this product, many consumers reported that they actually did not fully review all the information posted there and that in many respects it reminded them of a scientific research paper. This is not necessarily bad, but it may make it a bit more difficult to find out if a product like this is right for you or not.
We also noticed that they didn’t post any testimonials by consumers who had used this formula to successfully increase their brain health and performance. This is a feature we often suggest looking for, and since it was missing, we checked out other independent rating sites to see what they were saying. Brain Reload was often found in the moderately effective range, but it never seemed to break into the categories reserved for the higher performing products.

Brain Reload’s name may get it a lot of attention, and it may have done well with consumers in terms of sales. The fact that it contains Phosphatidylserine means it may assist the brain to work more effectively and get the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. While it also contains Choline and DMAE to raise Acetylcholine levels, these elements have a lot of trouble passing through the blood brain barrier, which is why many experts suggest looking for products that contain Alpha GPC, an element that has been shown to aid the body in producing more Acetylcholine naturally and effectively to quickly raise cognitive function. Unfortunately, Alpha GPC does not appear to be included in this formula.
That said, this formula is often found in the moderately effective range on rating sites and blogs, and it may be minimally effective for consumers who are not experiencing any issues as of yet. But these days, most of us cannot afford to waste our time or money on lackluster products, and we want the best formula for the job the first time we buy one. There are formulas on the market in which each and every extract and element has a proven role in boosting cognitive function, and they are well worth looking for.
